Writing Assignment - Some Basic Components
The student of a composition topic usually has a problem that is related to the topic. The student must explore the idea to find the word or phrase that has the meaning of his assignment. To help students in this process, there are a few components that help them with this step of their assignment.
- Composition topics usually have a definition and an introduction. A good example is the declaration. Students must read a definition of the topic that begins with the word 'Introduction' and ends with the word 'Declaration'. When the student reads the definition, he should continue reading until he reaches the word 'Declaration' which would be his assignment. A good explanation of what the students need to do can be found when they read the introduction to the topic.
- Writing assignments will usually have some type of a chapter or a paragraph explaining what is happening within the topic. A good example is the assignment on the Constitution.
